Vattenfall is one of Europe’s largest producers and retailers of electricity and heat. For more than 100 years, the company has been supplying energy to both residential and industrial customers and is active in all areas of the energy value chain, from generation to distribution.

The primary purpose of the VLINK end-to-end digital service platform is to bring together and coordinate all stakeholders on a single platform for the sales and fulfillment of various energy services.

The multi-tenant platform is designed to conveniently guide customers and energy providers through the entire sales and fulfillment process: from initial contact, through ordering and order fulfillment with service partners, to billing, service, and operations.

The goal is to provide a flexible overview of energy services, ranging from photovoltaics and heating to energy performance certificates and individual products offered by energy suppliers.

VLINK combines customer-facing portals, a powerful backend, and flexible system integrations in a single platform for energy services. End customers can submit and track requests throughout the entire sales and fulfillment process, while utilities, suppliers, and service partners manage all related workflows in the backend. Thanks to its REST API and cloud-native architecture on Kubernetes, VLINK seamlessly integrates with third-party systems. A key achievement of the platform is its high level of customization, allowing products, processes, content, and documents to be tailored to individual requirements without sacrificing performance, flexibility, or scalability.
