Miles was faced with the challenge of modernizing an outdated traffic ticket processing system that was characterized by slow processing and frequent errors. The existing system not only resulted in inefficient workflows, but also a poor user experience.

The challenge

The project for Miles involved modernizing an outdated system for processing traffic tickets. The goal was to develop a robust, largely automated solution capable of efficiently scanning, analyzing, and processing tickets to minimize manual intervention. At the same time, the aim was to significantly improve system performance, processing quality, and usability, thereby ensuring more efficient workflows and a seamless user experience.

The solution

Beyonder handled both the design and development of the ticket automation system (TAS) for Miles, utilizing the Django framework in combination with HTMX. Django, known for its robustness and scalability, enabled the creation of a high-performance, automated solution. The implementation of core functions prioritized automation and efficiency. The system features automated ticket processing and classification, OCR text recognition with regex matching, mass email distribution via Postmark, asynchronous task management, and a user-friendly dashboard interface for processing and tracking tickets.
