The challenge
Brother recognized early on the potential of digital services as a decisive competitive advantage in the field of industrial printing solutions. The goal was to jointly develop an Industry 4.0 platform that would bundle digital services and create added value for various customer groups. The focus was to be on rapid market entry—without creating long-term dependencies—and on the gradual development of internal capabilities for the platform's future operation and ongoing evolution.
André Albrecht
Product Owner and Business Development
"Thanks to Beyonder’s outstanding expertise, we have successfully launched our digital platform, Myze, together. Beyonder not only supported us in the conception, design, programming and operation of the solution, but also helped us to build a strong digital team."
The solution
As the technology partner, Beyonder handled the entire process—from conceptual consulting and agile project management (Scrum) to design and platform implementation. Following the delivery of the initial version (MVP), we actively supported Brother in building up its own internal development resources.
Working in partnership with us, the Myze platform (https://myze.brother.digital) has been developed to provide a digital solution that connects Brother’s physical products with the digital world, opens up new sources of revenue through new services and, above all, contributes to greater sustainability through print-on-demand solutions.
The solution
An overview of the platform's individual modules:
Myze Analytics: All printers and key performance indicators viewable at a glance.
Myze Cloud: Convenient management of all Brother products and brands.
Myze Fulfillment: Support for the entire order workflow, right through to final shipment.
Myze Creator: Creation of customer experiences featuring personalized textiles at the POS.
Myze Connector: Interfaces with all major online shops.
Myze Designer: Create your own items and templates in just a few steps.
The solution
The platform was developed as a scalable, serverless microservices architecture and offers a flexible system of roles and permissions for different user groups. In addition, a kiosk solution was created for the point of sale, enabling customers to customise products such as T-shirts, have them produced on the spot and complete the entire ordering and payment process digitally.
