I am 35 years old and have been working at Beyonder for 9 years now. During this time, I have not only learned a lot but have also grown immensely—both as a professional and as a person. When Beyonder first approached me, I was looking for a new challenge. After three years as a software developer in a consultancy role, I wanted more variety and responsibilities in my work. Beyonder came into my life at just the right moment. The idea of being part of a young startup that was rapidly evolving immediately appealed to me.
Working at Beyonder means variety, freedom, and an amazing culture.
"What I enjoy most about my work is the incredible variety. No two days are the same. The freedom I have to continuously improve the way we work together with others creates a lot of dynamism."
Koen Siemelink - Operations Manager
How it started
After studying Technical Computer Science in 's-Hertogenbosch, I started as a software developer. I worked at various companies, but it began to feel more and more like routine. What I was truly looking for was a broader and more diverse role, where I wasn’t just writing code but was also actively involved in other processes. Beyonder offered me that opportunity.
Whether it’s about new projects, internal processes, or collaborating with colleagues from different disciplines, it’s always exciting and educational. It makes the work not only challenging but also incredibly enjoyable.
An informal, friendly atmosphere where you quickly feel at home
The culture at Beyonder also plays a big role in this. It’s an informal, friendly atmosphere where you quickly feel at home. Everyone is valued for who they are, and we work like a close-knit group of friends. At the same time, there is always a strong focus on delivering quality and developing software that truly matters. This combination makes Beyonder truly unique for me.
Challenges abound
Beyonder is growing rapidly, which means new obstacles and opportunities are constantly emerging. Just when we think we have everything under control, something new comes our way. But that’s exactly what makes it so interesting – it forces us to stay flexible and creative. The work is constantly changing, but we always collaborate to find the best solutions.
The future
My ambition for the future is simple: to keep growing and, together with my colleagues, make Beyonder even better and more successful.
