My journey at Beyonder started through a recruitment agency. The funny thing is that after our first conversation, the person who interviewed me immediately put a contract in front of me and asked if I wanted to sign it already. However, I wanted to learn more about the people and the culture, so I asked for a second meeting with the developers. Roel told me so many amazing things about the company that I was sold right away. Since September 2018, I’ve been part of Beyonder and have continued to grow and develop over the years.

Career Path So Far
I started at Beyonder 6.5 years ago after graduating. Initially, I worked in the Bravo team, but after just a few months, I transitioned to the Alpha team, where I worked on the major RAP project for nearly five years. When Beyonder introduced the 'circles,' I decided to join the backend circle and have since become the circle master. A few years ago, as the company grew rapidly, Sebastiaan asked if I would like to become the vibe manager. Since I was already involved with GPTW-related tasks, it seemed like a fun role. For nearly a year now, I’ve been the lead developer for the Bravo team, working on the Poolwise project.
Passion and Work
The best part of my role is the versatility. I get to take on various roles, such as vibe manager, backend circle master, and lead developer. This diversity allows me to contribute in different areas and leave my mark. What I enjoy most is coming up with new solutions and ideas – something I can do in every role I take on.

Challenges in the Job
Juggling three roles at once comes with its fair share of pressure. I have to stay well-organized, and fortunately, I have the right people around me to support me. Finding the perfect technical solution is often a challenge, as that ‘perfect’ solution doesn’t always exist. It’s often about weighing pros and cons, and experience plays a big role in this. Additionally, finding the right people to collaborate with is essential to achieving the best results.
