Royal GD and digital accelerator Beyonder have jointly developed FlockVision.

What is Flockvision?

Flockvision is an advanced monitoring system that provides poultry farmers with 24/7 insight into the behavior of their animals.

AI in the stables

Using smart cameras and Artificial Intelligence (AI), the system continuously analyzes six essential behaviors: eating, drinking, foraging, preening, walking, and resting. To showcase how this works in practice, the partners have released a video.

It takes viewers inside the barn, illustrating how this technology acts as an "extra pair of eyes" for the farmer.

Willem Dekkers, veterinarian at GD, explains: "FlockVision is a game-changer. It allows us to monitor the health of poultry flocks in ways we never could before. Innovative Co-creation

In this collaboration, GD provided the veterinary expertise and knowledge of animal health, while Beyonder delivered the digital craftsmanship needed to translate that knowledge into a user-friendly solution. Direct feedback from poultry farmers further ensured an efficient development process.

The innovative nature of this application is highlighted by FlockVision’s nomination for the 2026 Agribusiness Award. This nomination underscores the importance of data-driven innovation for animal health, welfare, and the future of livestock farming.

Together with fellow nominees Albert Heijn and Blue Radix, GD and FlockVision are in the running for this prestigious award. The ceremony will take place on February 10, 2026, during the ABN AMRO Open at Ahoy Rotterdam.
